According to goal.com, Federico Macheda joins Sampdoria on loan from Manchester United.
A statement on Sampdoria's official website reads: "U.C Sampdoria S.p.a communicates to have acquired, on a temporary basis from Manchester United, the striker Federico Macheda.
"He has taken the number 41 shirt and will be available to coach Domenico Di Carlo for Sunday's game against Roma."
Macheda will remain at Marassi until June after gaining permission from United boss Sir Alex Ferguson who felt the 19-year-old would benefit from regular action.
