Manchester United striker Kiko Macheda was handed a Serie A debut by Sampdoria coach Mimmo di Carlo in yesterday's 2-1 win over AS Roma.
Federico Macheda came off the bench in the 78th minute with the scores locked at 1-1 and nearly made an instant impact with a header that went narrowly wide. That miss was negated, however, when Macheda played a part in teeing up Stefano Guberti's late winner for the hosts.
