United lose Park Ji-Sung to hamstring injury for four weeks

Park Ji-sung has been ruled out for four weeks after suffering a hamstring injury on Friday.
The South Korea international, only recently back from a month-long stint at the Asian Cup in Qatar, damaged the muscle in training.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said: 'We got a blow on Saturday morning with the news that Park Ji-sung did his hamstring on Friday afternoon in training.

'It was very unfortunate because it was his last kick of the ball in training as well. We were really looking forward to having him back after being away for a month at the Asian Cup. He'll be out for up to a month, which is a blow to us. Read more..

Nani Could Return to Action For The Reds

According to manutd.com, Nani could return to action for the Reds as Sir Alex Ferguson's men look to kick-start 2011 with a win at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

The Portuguese winger has been absent recently with a hip injury, but Sir Alex says he and his coaching staff will assess Nani in training on Friday before making a decision on whether he will play at The Hawthorns or wait for Stoke City's visit to Old Trafford on Tuesday.

"We're looking at Nani as a possibility," the boss told reporters at Carrington on Friday. "We'll see how he is today, but he maybe has more chance of playing against Stoke." Read more..
