LEE SHARPE: MY UNITED

A flying left winger in the 1980s and 90s, Sharpey played alongside many United greats who make up his impressive dream team. The rules are simple, Lee can only select players he played with, except one wildcard...

Peter Schmeichel - Quite simply, the best goalkeeper there has ever been. Awesome.

Gary Neville - From youth-team captain to first-team captain, the consummate pro.

Steve Bruce - Great reader of the game and cool on the ball – score big winners, too.

Gary Pallister - Pally was a footballing centre-half; really classy and quick.

Denis Irwin - Consistent on either side of defence, and a regular scorer to boot.

George Best (My wildcard) - No United team is complete without him – absolute genius!

Roy Keane - A pure winner, Keano led by example. He’s an undoubted legend.

Bryan Robson (My captain) - Mr United. He bossed every game he played in. Superb.

Ryan Giggs - Different gravy. Beat players like they weren’t there, still doing it now.

Norman Whiteside - An unbelievable talent and the sweetest left foot. A true great.

Eric Cantona - Just exquisite. What a player, and the coolest man ever to grace a pitch.
